Along with producing my own work, in the years since graduating I have been developing and teaching art classes and workshops in schools and community groups since 1998 when I set up and ran holiday art workshops at the local art centre in Letchworth Garden City, these were aimed at 5-10yr olds. I now work with children from the age of 2 up to adults working with all abilities.
When running one or two day workshops I normally carry out workshops in textiles or sculpture. I have had some teaching positions where I have worked with schools on a long term basis where I have delivered the art curriculum for the school, or worked with teachers to deliver areas of the art curriculum. I have also run teacher training days.
I have worked with special needs groups and schools working with children with many different abilities/disabilities. You can see some of the work made with these children in the Workshops Gallery. I have also run workshops for North Hertfordshire College for adults with learning difficulties and disablities and recently ran a Creative Studies class for visually impaired adults.
